Sometimes, you come across a mystery stone- a gift from another metalsmith's destash- and you just don't know what it is. I really can't say with this one. Some kind of quartz? Whatever the case, it's a beautiful, pinky purple, reminiscent of the colour of lilacs in spring. Set in jeweller's brass, 6mm.
The brass is polished to a high shine and unlike gold-plating, won't flake or wear away. When it darkens with exposure to oxygen, it can be easily re-polished to a high shine that mimics the look of gold. Includes care instructions and a sample polishing cloth.
